Self-Sovereign Identity

Gataca Studio is a cloud Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) platform solution for organizations that allows the issuance, verification, and management of verifiable credentials (VCs).

It provides credential issuance features for Trusted Authorities and Single Sign-On authentication tools for service providers, which can be integrated seamlessly with our plug-and-play deployment system.

Verifiers can leverage the Self-Sovereign Identity solution to configure verification processes (which credentials are required to be shared by the user) and provide all necessary mechanisms for verifying the authenticity of received credentials, including validation of: the Wallet's authenticity, the schema of the credential, that the Issuer is registered in a trusted registry, that the Issuer is entitled to issue this type of VC, the signature of the Issuer in the credential, and the control by the user of the user's DID.

On the other hand, it allows organizations to issue VCs according to W3C data models and follow best practices on their lifecycle and status management. As such, our platform allows an Issuer to issue VCs, update status (including revocation), and control expiration dates.

Gataca Studio allows organizations to:

  • Generate a W3C-compliant DID and associated cryptographic Keypair

  • Configure and display a unique QR code per session containing service access requirements pertaining to personal information.

  • Collect Verifiable Credentials from Gataca Wallets and validate cryptographic signatures

  • Validate the authenticity and ownership of a Gataca Wallet and any other second-factor authentication

  • Collect, sign, and manage users’ consent objects related to the authorized use of users’ personal information.

  • Generate an Issuer DID and associated cryptographic KeyPair

  • Create and/or sign Verifiable Credentials and transmit them to the corresponding subject

  • Suspend or revoke Verifiable Credentials

  • View and manage issued and/or signed Verifiable Credentials
